Photo: To celebrate Australia Day! Wholesome Doughnuts. A moist, naturally sweet, and wholesome lamington doughnut. The recipe still needs refinement.
Happy New Year! A year of the fire horse is almost here.
Celebrating people choosing health and awareness people choosing the change that this class could very well be the start to!
Celebrating my friend Vanessa Finnigan, who is the Founder and editor of Holistic Bliss, also psychologist, energy facilitator, who, after a random chat, came to the thought that I should share my experience with others, as so many are now on the journey that started for me over 20 years ago with different food intolerances. Grateful for her holding the space for it 3 years ago.
However, it’s not only about intolerance; it’s about feeling great, looking better, and enjoying so-called prohibited foods fully, and actually knowing you’re doing good for your health.
Celebrating getting nominated and being recognised as a finalist in the health food business category in the 2025 Australian Small Business Champion Awards!
Celebrating the first gentleman coming to the class last year. Someone who was on a weight loss journey, had followed Keto diet and now was looking for more sustainable life style.
If you are based in Sunshine Coast or even in Brisbane, you have a working oven and have 2-4 friends wanting to change their perspective of healthy food – that it actually can be easy and delicious, let’s set the date. I will bring the rest.
It’s not just about 3 recipes you’ll learn, it’s about expanding your options, get inspired, learning what we have in the stores, what works and what isn’t, what to choose.
The class used to be compensated for NDIS people; however, regulations have changed, and that’s why we suggest to reach out so we can discuss your group’s price offer privately. Because you deserve a better health, and it can be easy.
Where there is a will, there is a way to get better, no matter the starting point.
We’d like to thank friends in Caloundra Surf Life Saving Club and The Source Bulk Foods Caloundra, their support last year. Going forward to the new year we plan to try out more of their products and might move to the organic products wholly.
This year, I’m looking to create meaningful collaborations around my sugar- and gluten-free cake-making classes.
I’d love to connect with:
- Local product providers (ingredients, wellness or specialty foods)
- Cafés or venues interested in hosting regular events or adding classes to their offerings
- Nutritionists or dietitians who would like their clients to gain practical, real-life skills
- Life coaches, personal trainers, and wellness practitioners wanting a hands-on, nourishing experience for their clients
Ideally, I’d love to find a regular venue where we can host and enjoy these classes consistently, building a warm, supportive community around mindful, health-conscious baking.
If this resonates — or if you know someone it might suit — I’d love to hear from you.
Cakee Makee is:
• Small, in-home classes — not catering, not production
• For people with food intolerances, curious home bakers, weight management, and those choosing a more conscious lifestyle
• About understanding ingredients, expanding options, and learning what actually works
• Focused on confidence and ease — not perfection
• An invitation to enjoy food again, without fear or restriction.
It’s not about “giving things up.”
It’s about knowing what to choose, trusting your body, and realising that healthy can be simple, delicious, and deeply satisfying.
If this feels like a yes for you, or for your group, let’s set the date.
I’ll bring the knowledge — you have the oven and the willingness to expand your options.
We’re delighted to share that we now have access to a spacious commercial kitchen in Nambour, thanks to a wonderful local nutritionist and cook who has generously opened her venue to us.
This is especially exciting news for those who don’t have a group organised — you can now join a class on your own. Simply book your spot and come along. We’ll take care of the rest.
